Sometimes we feel so overwhelmed by the problems and tribulations of our lives and the lives of the people who live around us or even by the news and media.
We feel fear, frustration, depression, anxiety, stress that will affect our life, health and relationships. We're so busy trying to figure out what's going on with our lives or solving the problems around us that we don't have time to take a deep breath and raise our heads and look up.
We look around and see that the world is out of control, people are getting more selfish and mean, without love, without compassion.
And so most people try to look away, forget, run away, or hide from these things through drugs, alcohol, parties, using social media, or getting addicted to other types of diversion or entertainment, but it is so temporary, so fleeting, and each time these escapes become more and more insufficient, because they will not fill the void in our lives or in our hearts, and we try to deeply combine these things to see if we can escape our loneliness and fear.
Sometimes we try to adapt our lives, beliefs, concepts and preferences, because it seems that we are the problem, and we just want to fit in, feel like the other people on their social networks, photos, parties, meetings with friends, everyone is always so happy, beautiful, satisfied and fulfilled. But in most cases, everything is a mask, a lie, vanity and pride.
Believe me, you are not alone, I was also feeling lost and lonely, and many times I tried to adjust my life to fit in, but it was never enough, and I was never happy. I tried to escape from the troubles using all kinds of diversion, but in the end of day I knew it was not right.
If you are feeling lost or lonely or sad, or trying to find a purpose for all this, I invite you to watch this video.
But one thing I can tell you from my own experience, God is the only one who can really give you the real love, purpose, peace and guide you through the right direction. He has changed my life and rescued me from a pit of pain, shame and mistakes.
The way is hard and narrow, but you will not be alone, and even through troubles, you will have peace.
Because Jesus Christ promised He will never abandon or forsake who trusts Him.
“Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.””
John 6:35-40 NIV
