Overthinking

Sometimes we overthink things, especially God's love for us. We say with our mouth that God is good, but we do not believe with our hearts.

Why don't we let our guard down to God?

Why can't we really trust him?

Don't think too much, just call out to him. Sometimes we let our fear get us down. God is God and there is nothing he doesn't know, but he is also just and has given us free will to choose. Why don't we put our pride aside and put our arrogance aside? We often forget that pride and lack of trust were humanity's first sins. Sometimes all we need is to believe and have faith in God. Don't overthink it, just talk to him. He doesn't need fancy words or difficult vocabulary, he has created all languages, ​but he is interested in your heart. Sometimes we just need to be honest and humble, because he knows what's in your heart.

Don't overthink it, but just acknowledge that you need help and you've made mistakes. We all make mistakes and he knows it, but what makes the difference is whether we want to change. This has nothing to do with your past or your circumstances, but it has to do with what you need and want. Sometimes we think too much, we think: “I've done such bad things”, or “I can't change, I'm too old”, or “I'm not sure I can give up these bad habits”… that's all overthinking.

Deep down we know that we only want to change for the better, but in our own strength or will, we cannot, but we often forget that God is God. So why can't we just ask for help?

Why can't we just believe?

Just try, stop overthinking, just talk to him, in your bedroom, in your car, in your office, in the bathroom, in your kitchen, doing dishes, taking shower, driving, biking or walking or running, or seated or standing, you know what, it doesn't really matter where or how. You can just talk, or just think, but just do it now. It's time to stop overthinking.

God is eternal and has not changed, he remains the same God of miracles from the beginning. Sometimes we think too much about everything, but one thing we forget very often, it was God who created us, he was the one who wanted to have a relationship with us from the beginning, but it was us who doubted him and decided to betray him and listen to the snake. God is the one who has given you the way back, forgiveness, salvation and deliverance from our bad habits and sins through Jesus Christ who came down to this earth to teach us, and die on the cross for our sins. He wants to give us peace, love, freedom and prosperity, but we often forget that because we keep hearing the snake in our heads saying that we can do it all by ourselves, lying about God's plans and love, even trying to convince that God doesn’t exist. Well, the snake made Adam and Eve overthink and doubt about God's love.

Why do we continue to overthink now what has been taught, written and shown for so many centuries?

Well, God is God and we don't need to overthink it, just believe and call for him, in the name of Jesus, because everything he's done is for us, and he's just trying to take us back to where we belong, by his side.
