Forgive me

Forgive me Father.

Forgive me because I've let myself lose focus on You,

Forgive me because I've been selfish.

Forgive me Father, because sometimes I'm afraid even though I know I shouldn't be afraid.

Forgive me Father, because sometimes I don't understand Your voice.

Forgive me Father, because I disobey you.

Forgive me Father, because sometimes it is so difficult to do what You ask of me.

Forgive me Father because I am often flawed and weak in my faith.

Father, I know I can't live without You and I don't want to walk away from You, because You are my love and my God.

Father, I wish in my heart to be more obedient and have more faith.

I ask for Your help, because I can't do it alone.

Father, I desire in my heart to follow Your ways and be guided by Your Spirit.

I ask for Your help, because I stumble so often.

Father, You are the most important in my life, and in my heart I desire Your purposes in my life.

But I ask for Your help because so often I make decisions without consulting You, or act as if I don't trust You.

Father, I want to trust You not just in words, but in deeds.

I know the Lord loves me, I know.

Father, in my weaknesses and failures, I know you carry me in your lap.

I need your hand to guide me.

Don't let me go down the wrong paths,

But guide me in Your ways.

I often feel overwhelmed, and I often feel confident.

I don't want to be in the desert, but I want to be tested and approved.

Father, don't let me get stuck in the desert.

Father, I want to learn what You want me to learn.

Teach me Lord to have a heart like Yours.

Father, help me to stand firm, for You are my rock and strength.

I know You I can trust.

I love you, Father. I love you, my Lord and my God.
