“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.” 1 John 4:1-6 ESV
The Lord Jesus has warned us to be vigilant and attentive, as the Time of Deception has already arrived and is in our midst.
Evil spirits have been playing with our minds and telling lies to keep us from God and His word. Or even used people to deceive those who are inattentive to turn them away from God, false prophets.
That is why we need to always be attentive to our thoughts and attitudes, because as the Bible says, our spirit can be ready and firm, but the flesh is weak and corruptible.
We always need to strengthen ourselves in prayer and in reading the Word of God. Even if we are not used to reading, you can always watch sermons online, listen to the Bible in audio.
Nowadays there are so many ways to keep the Word of God in our minds and hearts. We need to use the Word of God in our prayers, as it is God's Promise in our lives.
The most important thing is everything and not losing the connection with God through prayer.
The Lord Jesus said:
“Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, for the Father is with me. I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”” John 16:32-33 ESV
Let us be strong and courageous, but not in our own strength or understanding, but in the strength of God and in His Word.
We are living in evil days, so let's keep more attention to what Jesus said to his church, because the Day of Redemption is near. Seek Jesus while you can find him.
