When Faith is Proven

Just as gold and silver must pass through fire to be purified and refined, so we must undergo tests to have our faith approved.
How we react to the trials, tribulations and problems that come over our lives is the way God checks if our faith is true.
Our greatest weapons are prayer, praise, the word of God and never turning away from God.
Father, when I cry, may I get you.
When I fall, may I get you.
When I feel weak, may I look for you.
When I feel dirty and impure, I can still look for you.
When I feel lost, I can still seek you.
When I feel that hurt and anger want to explode in my heart, I still ask for Your help.
When I realize that I have strayed from the path and made several wrong decisions, I can still invoke Your name and find my way back.
When the ocean waves get wild, the waters rise violently against me, the winds roar like a lion, so that I cry out for Your name and ask for Your wings that save me.
Father, but when calm comes, and the sun rises in the sky, the horizon opens clear, that I search for You. I can praise You when I wake up every morning. I can praise You when I hug my loved ones. May I adore You, when all is well, and yet I seek You only because You are my God. Just because You are my God when it rains and when it's sunny. You are my God when I cry and when I smile. You are my God when I am healthy or sick. You are my God when I have and when I don't. You are my God, regardless of whether I am failure or weak. Father, may I know and never forget that You are my God and that You love me regardless of myself.
Amen!
"In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls." 1 Peter 1:6-9
